The Primary is MONDAY. Did I say MONDAY?

For those of you new to Naugatuck, you may have noticed that the Borough prides itself on being unique.  We are, after all, a borough that holds its municipal elections in May rather than November.

Another important distinction is that Naugatuck’s local elections take place on a MONDAY, rather than on Tuesday.  This includes the Democratic primary, which will be held on MONDAY, March 9, 2009.  If you go to the polls on Tuesday, you will be disappointed that you did not exercise your right to vote on MONDAY, March 9, 2009.

Many of you will be reminded by our campaign that the upcoming primary will be on MONDAY, March, 9, 2009.  We apologize for being redundant or repetitive or just downright persistent that you vote on MONDAY, March 9, 2009, but many people have already wished me good luck next Tuesday, not MONDAY.  Old habits of voting on Tuesday’s, not MONDAY‘s are tough to break, so be kind to all of our many great campaign volunteers who remind you to vote this MONDAY, March 9, 2009.

Finally, I would like to thank all of you with whom I have had the pleasure to meet and communicate throught the primary season.  You have energized and inspired our campaign to work as hard as possible for this coming MONDAY‘s primary, and to make Naugatuck all that it can be. 

And…….Did I mention the primary is MONDAY, March 9, 2009.
