The following is a list of various budgets reviewed by the Joint Boards of Finance and Mayor and Burgesses on Monday evening (2/22/2010). Each budget includes the Finance Board’s recommendation as of February 22, 2010.

Public Works – Administration Budget – 2/23/2010;

Public Works – Engineering Budget – 2/23/2010;

Public Works – Fourth of July Budget – 2/23/2010;

Public Works – Garage Budget – 2/23/2010;

Public Works – General Budget – 2/23/2010;

Public Works – Highway Maintenance Budget – 2/23/2010;

Public Works – Hop Brook Golf Course – 2/23/2010;

Public Works – Park / Recreation Budget – 2/23/2010;

Public Works – Sanitation Budget – 2/23/2010;

Information Technology Budget – 2/23/2010 (Revised);

Town Hall Budget – 2/23/2010 (Revised);

Most of the above departments are related to Naugatuck’s Public Works Department, which is still in the process of being reorganized and consolidated. Each individual budget referenced above is still being changed to reflect a true public works model consistent with the revised organizational chart which can be viewed here. The above budgets cumulatively represent an approximate FORTY FOUR THOUSAND and 00/100THS ($44,000.00) DOLLAR savings from the previous year’s corresponding budget and/or line item. It is hoped that additional savings will be achieved when final reorganization of the public works budget is completed.
