Storm Update – 12/1/2010
Severe storms have hit many parts of the state today (12/1/2010) including Naugatuck. While strong winds and heavy wind have caused only minor damage, there are approximately five hundred (500) Naugatuck homes without power as of approximately 6:30 PM. Connecticut Light and Power (“CL&P”) representatives have stated that the two (2) primary areas currently without power are located along and near Wooster Street and Lewis Street. Crews are currently repairing lines in the Wooster Street area and will soon move to Lewis Street upon completion.
CL&P estimates that power will be restored to approximately ninety nine (99%) percent of the Borough by 12:00 Midnight, with one hundred (100%) percent restoration by 6:00 AM on Thursday (12/2/2010).
