Still Work To Do Before Year’s End – 12/23/2010

There will be a special meeting of the Board of Mayor and Burgesses (“BMB”) next Tuesday, December 28, 2010, 6:00 PM, at Town Hall.  The agenda for said meeting can be viewed here.

While the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day is usually a quiet time of year, the BMB has multiple, significant items to address prior to our regular meeting in January, 2011.  In addition to acting upon the possible  creation of a formal Charter Review Commission and a new alarm ordinance, land access agreements will be discussed which may facilitate the influx of badly needed jobs and tax revenue at a portion of the Chemtura property (former Uniroyal Chemical site).
