Winter Storm To Be Significant – 12/26/2010
Winter Storm Adrianne is forecast to bring significant snowfall and heavy winds throughout Connecticut Sunday (12/26/2010) well into Monday (12/27/2010) morning . A parking ban is in effect for all applicable streets in Naugatuck beginning this afternoon (12/26/2010) and remaining in effect all day Monday (12/27/2010). Residents who live along streets not subject to the parking ban are requested to refrain for on-street parking to the best of their ability.
Snow accumulation is likely to increase significantly later this afternoon (12/26/2010) and remain heavy into Monday (12/27/2010 morning. Snowfall will be accompanied by high winds throughout the storm.
The Naugatuck Department of Public Works has all sixteen (16) of their equipped vehicles plowing. Eight (8) private contracting trucks have also been engaged to assist with snow plowing and road maintenance. Residents are advised to avoid travel if at all possible.
