Update on Road Clearance – 10/31/2011

The following update has been submitted from Superintendent of Streets Bob Roland:

“The CL&P contractor is working on Krofut Rd., Evelyn Dr. area.  A Lot
of damage there, numerous large trees and limbs, old transformer on
ground. Bellemare tree service is with them. A second tree
crew, Lewis Tree (CL&P) is arriving there as I write this.  They will be
working from both ends of Krofut. I have notified Middlebury Public
Works, as Krofut turns into Shadduck on the Middlebury side.
Town tree crew is in the area, and available if needed. Town tree crew
II, is in the Quinn St. area with our chipper clearing roads only for
now. Both Town crews are working OT this afternoon and evening
.Hopefully Krofut road should be open this evening.”
